Finding Breath, Finding Life
A journey from survival to purpose, and the business helping others do the same.
On a quiet morning in her home office, Sherri Hiler sits cross-legged on the floor, her palms pressed lightly against her heart. Her breath moves slowly, deliberately, as if she is coaxing life back into her body. This practice, which once saved her from despair, has now become her calling. Sherri is the founder of Vibrate Lyf, a healing practice rooted in elemental embodiment and breathwork, and her story is as much about survival as it is about transformation.
From Rock Bottom to Renewal
Long before she became a guide for others, Sherri was searching for her own way out of pain. Her early years were marked by abuse, addiction, and a cycle of destructive choices that left her homeless, kicked out of college, and even behind bars before the age of twenty. “I used to very much be a person who was held down by my past, thinking that’s who I was and that’s who I would always be,” she recalls.
The turning point came when she discovered breathwork in 2012. What started as a personal exploration soon revealed itself as something far deeper, a tool that reached places other healing modalities could not touch. “After doing many different types of healing, this one hit deeper and had more results than anything else I had ever done,” Sherri says.
Breath by breath, she began to piece her life back together, not only freeing herself from the grip of her past but also uncovering a clarity she had long craved.
Learning to Trust the Timing
If her early years were defined by force and survival, Sherri’s healing taught her the opposite: surrender. She admits that impatience was once her greatest struggle, wanting life to unfold on her terms, on her timeline. Through embodiment practices, she found peace in waiting and trust in divine timing.
“It used to be a challenge for me, wishing and wanting things to happen when I wanted them,” she says. “Now, I know there is a magical unfolding, and everything happens for a reason. It is happening for me, not to me.”
That perspective has become one of the guiding principles of her business. Rather than pushing for outcomes, Sherri invites clients to connect with themselves in ways that allow transformation to happen naturally. In her view, healing is not about forcing change but creating space for it to emerge.
Unlocking the Code Within
At the heart of Vibrate is what Sherri calls “elemental embodiment,” a practice rooted in earth, water, fire, air, and mineral awareness. She describes it as a way of aligning with both collective and individual “codes” that unlock a person’s gifts and purpose.
“Getting aligned with your code is like finding the combination to a briefcase,” she explains. “Once it opens, you see all of your gifts and your purpose. Without it, you may spend life on a linear path, hoping to stumble into clarity. With it, you can quantum leap into who you are meant to be.”
What makes her work unique is this fusion of ancient wisdom and modern somatic science, woven into supportive experiences both online and in person. Sessions are deeply personal, often beginning with guided breathwork and evolving into a journey of self-discovery.
A Voice Rooted in Compassion
Sherri is quick to clarify that she does not see herself as competing with other healers. “If you are called to seek out someone like me, I highly suggest you go and interview several people,” she says with humility. “Go with what your soul tells you to go with because that is your path. I don’t necessarily see it as competition. What calls to somebody is what they are meant for.”
She offers newcomers an introductory package—four sessions at a discounted rate—to give them the space to experience breathwork before deciding if it resonates. For Sherri, it is not about selling but about service. “I just want people to seek their truth and their purpose because we are all meant for so much more than we give ourselves credit for,” she says.
Perhaps the most striking thing about Sherri is her ability to hold space for others without judgment. Her own struggles have become a source of strength, allowing her to meet clients exactly where they are. “With everything I have been through, I can be with anybody in their life, in any way they are, and help them feel safe in processing the traumas they need to process,” she says.
Why the Community Is Listening
Though still young, Vibrate is already resonating with clients who crave more than surface-level fixes. Sherri has built a small but growing presence on Facebook, where she shares insights and connects with followers. She has plans to expand into live TikTok sessions, podcasts, and YouTube, weaving together platforms that can reach people wherever they are.
Locally, she welcomes clients into her home office, which has its own private entrance. Over Zoom, she guides others through sessions from a distance. Her long-term vision is to create a wellness studio where breathwork can be paired with yoga, sound baths, and other healing practices. Beyond that, she dreams of quarterly retreats designed to help participants reset their lives completely.
What sets Sherri apart is not only her methodology but her unwavering belief in the people who walk through her door. Clients find more than a practitioner; they find someone who has walked the path of pain and chosen transformation, someone who offers not answers but guidance back to their own inner knowing.
Breath as a Beginning
In the end, Sherri’s message is simple, even if her methods are profound. “Breathe,” she says. “If you feel discouragement or despair, or even if you are in joy, place your hands on your body and breathe. Get connected to yourself.”
Her story reminds us that healing does not always come from grand gestures but from small, steady choices. Breath by breath, moment by moment, Sherri built a new life. Now she is helping others do the same.
For those ready to explore, Vibrate offers sessions at vibratelyf.com and on Facebook at Vibrate: Live Your Frequency. Sherri also connects personally through her page, inviting anyone who feels called to take the first step.
