Healing Pets, Empowering People: The Story of Pet Club 24/7

When love for animals meets the power of science, lives change sometimes in ways no one ever expects.

It was supposed to be an ordinary evening. After a long day of flying, Dale Worswick, a veteran flight attendant of more than three decades, was ready to collapse into bed. But a small voice inside urged her to push through her exhaustion and attend a local event. “I didn’t want to go,” Dale recalls, laughing at herself. “But something told me, get your butt up and go. And thank goodness I did.”

That decision would lead her into a chance encounter with two old friends, Kurt and Cristin Ludlow. Within minutes of catching up, they began sharing their passion for Pet Club 24/7, a company dedicated to transforming the way people care for their pets through science-backed nutrition and holistic wellness. For Dale, an animal lover who had always felt called to give a voice to those who could not speak, the conversation felt like fate. “It was divine intervention,” she says. “I knew right then this was something I had to be part of.”

From a Mother’s Fight to a Movement

To understand the heart of Pet Club 24/7, you have to go back nearly three decades. One of the company’s partners, Simon, faced the unthinkable when his mother was diagnosed with a serious lung condition. Doctors at Sloan Kettering in New York did everything they could, but eventually sent her home with only a few months to live.

Desperate, Simon reached out to family in Japan. His cousin, who worked in the medical field, sent a proprietary extract of a mushroom known as Coriolus versicolor. His mother began taking the capsules and, to everyone’s shock, started to feel better within weeks. After four and a half months, Sloan Kettering found no trace of her illness.

That mushroom, now studied in hundreds of clinical trials and published in respected medical journals, became the foundation for a new way of thinking about health. It did not claim to cure or prevent disease, but what it did was perhaps even more remarkable: it helped modulate the immune system, allowing the body to function as it was meant to.

Simon shared his mother’s story with anyone who would listen. People noticed improvements in their energy, sleep, focus, and overall vitality. The idea soon extended to pets, who were also struggling with rising rates of cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and other illnesses. In 2014, Pet Club 24/7 was officially born, built on the belief that the same science that helped people could transform the lives of their four-legged family members.

A Broken Food Chain for Pets

If you walk into a big-box pet store, you’ll find aisles filled with brightly colored packages, each promising the best for your furry friend. But as Kurt points out, marketing is often a distraction from the reality inside the bag. “When I used to buy food for our cats, I would look at the packaging with vegetables raining down on it and think I was making the best choice,” he says. “But when you dig into what’s actually inside, it’s shocking. Many of these products are full of additives, chemicals, dyes, and even toxins from overseas.”

This reality has had devastating effects. Today, one in 1.63 dogs will develop cancer. Rates of autoimmune disease, diabetes, and arthritis are climbing. And pets, who once lived longer, healthier lives, are often now only reaching half of their natural lifespan.

For Dale, the heartbreak of hearing pet owners’ stories at conferences across the country is what keeps her motivated. “People come up to me with tears in their eyes, telling me about the pain their animals are in,” she says. “It feels incredible to be able to offer them hope and a better option.”

The Mushroom Behind the Magic

At the center of Pet Club 24/7’s product line is that same Coriolus versicolor mushroom. Unlike ordinary supplements, this mushroom is backed by over 400 clinical studies, with research conducted by the American Cancer Society, Harvard, MD Anderson, and Sloan Kettering, among others.

Cristin explains why it is so effective. “Our pets’ issues often come from what they’re exposed to in their foods and toys. By using whole food ingredients and incorporating this mushroom extract into treats, foods, and even play products, we provide their immune system with the support it needs. The body knows how to repair itself when it’s balanced.”

The results have been nothing short of remarkable. Owners report elderly dogs running and digging like puppies again. Cats with mobility issues leaping back onto couches. Horses are recovering from ailments that once kept them sidelined. “Over 90 percent of the time, we see major turnarounds,” Cristin says. “People call us crying because their pets have their lives back. That’s why we do this.”

More Than a Business, a Mission

Pet Club 24/7 is more than a health company. It is also an economic opportunity for people who share the same passion. Instead of relying on big-box distribution, the company works through brand advocates who act as educators, community builders, and entrepreneurs.

“We don’t just call them distributors,” Kurt says. “They are advocates because they are standing up for the health of pets and people.”

The model allows individuals like Dale to build businesses while making a meaningful impact. Through conventions, podcasts, and personal connections, brand advocates spread awareness about the dangers of conventional pet food and the benefits of holistic alternatives. Word-of-mouth testimonials play a huge role. Dale tells the story of one customer who tried their mushroom coffee. After years of struggling with arthritis, she was suddenly able to lift her arms and reach her cupboard again. “She hadn’t done that in two years,” Dale says with pride. “Her daughter saw it and was in tears. That one story led to dozens more people finding help.”

The Power of Timing

The timing for Pet Club 24/7 could not be stronger. The pet industry surpassed $147 billion last year, outpacing beauty, skincare, and weight loss combined. Meanwhile, the immunotherapy market, valued at $230 billion in 2022, is projected to grow to $1.3 trillion by 2030.

“These numbers show what people value,” Cristin explains. “They want better care for themselves and their pets, and they are investing in proactive solutions.”

For the Ludlows, this is not just about business. It is about changing culture. “We are tired of being reactive,” Cristin says. “We want to stop masking symptoms and start addressing root causes. Our goal is to reach one million voices—one million advocates who will help change the way people think about health and longevity for their pets and themselves.”

Why Communities Are Listening

What makes Pet Club 24/7 different is not only the science or the products, but the sincerity of its advocates. Dale speaks at events across the country, and the response is deeply personal. “People love their pets like children,” she says. “When they see that we care just as much, and that we have real solutions, they trust us.”

This trust ripples outward. Customers share their success stories with neighbors, friends, and family. Communities begin to shift their buying habits, prioritizing healthier options over cheap, processed food. And in the process, small business advocates are empowered to grow and give back.

A Future Built on Care

Looking ahead, Pet Club 24/7 is focused on growth, education, and impact. With an ambitious vision of reaching one million advocates, the company sees itself not just as a business, but as a movement. “We want to be the change,” Kurt says. “Instead of complaining about what big companies are doing wrong, we want to prove there’s a better way and invite people to be part of it.”

For Dale, the journey feels nothing short of miraculous. “It has been a true blessing to be part of this,” she reflects. “Every day, I know I’m making a difference for families and their pets. That is the greatest reward.”
