Luxury With a Heartbeat: Where Pets Vacation Like Royalty
Just steps away from the Las Vegas Strip, Luxe Pet Hotels is more than a boarding facility; it’s a five-star resort for the city’s most pampered four-legged companions.
A Pet Parent’s Wake-Up Call Turned Purpose
The image is seared into Bogdan’s memory. After returning from vacation earlier than expected, he walked into the home of a private sitter entrusted to care for his dog. What he found changed everything. His beloved pet was locked in a dark bathroom, confined to a cage, completely alone.
“I remember opening the door and just feeling sick. The lights were off, and he was in this tiny space… it broke my heart,” Bogdan recalled.
That moment, that jarring realization of how vulnerable pets can be when their humans are away, became the spark that launched Luxe Pet Hotels. Built from the ground up, the facility opened in February 2013 with one guiding mission: create a space where pets aren’t just watched, but cherished.
From Heartbreak to Hospitality
Bogdan’s story isn’t just about creating a business; it’s about rewriting the experience of pet boarding entirely. Originally from Eastern Europe, he was raised in a home where animals were part of the family: dogs, cats, horses, even the occasional wandering farm animal. The bond between humans and animals wasn’t optional; it was woven into the rhythm of daily life.
“Since I can remember, I’ve always had animals around me,” he said. “It’s not work for me. This is what I love.”
That devotion became the foundation for what would become one of Las Vegas’s largest and most luxurious pet boarding facilities. Luxe Pet Hotels spans an astonishing 21,500 square feet, offering ten spacious play areas (seven outdoor and three indoor), 60 customized suites, and a level of care that borders on concierge.
A Standard Defined by Comfort and Cleanliness
At Luxe, every detail is built with intention. There are no cages, not a single one. Instead, dogs stay in plush, climate-controlled suites, including “celebrity suites” outfitted with human-sized queen or king beds, flat-screen TVs, and webcams that allow parents to check in from anywhere in the world.
Cats lounge in private villas, far removed from canine chaos. Meals are freshly cooked daily in-house grilled chicken, ground turkey, or beef, paired with rice and vegetables. If a pet requires medication, it's administered with care, no matter the dosage or frequency. And if a dog isn’t fully socialized? There’s a private play space just for them.
Most impressively, Luxe is staffed 24/7, a rarity in the industry. This is more than convenience; it’s peace of mind.
“Our priority is always the well-being and safety of the pets,” Bogdan said. “Whether it’s food, playtime, or a quiet place to rest, they’re supervised and cared for constantly. We take this seriously.”
"You Can’t Please Everyone, But You Can Stay True"
Bogdan admits that not every day has been easy. COVID-19 brought the usual challenges that rattled the hospitality industry. And like any service-based business, there are those few customers who remain hard to please.
“Sometimes, no matter how much you do, it’s impossible to make everyone happy,” he said with a shrug. “But we don’t cut corners. We never have.”
Instead of scaling fast or franchising for profit, Bogdan chose consistency over expansion. The original dream was to grow Luxe into a chain or franchise; the name itself suggests an empire, but the team realized that heart doesn't scale so easily.
“My mom is 70 years old, and she’s at the hotel every single day,” Bogdan shared. “She does it because she loves it. That’s why we’re here. We can’t trust someone else to care as much, so we’re staying focused on this one location and doing it right.”
A Concierge Experience for Your Canine or Cat
From the outside, Luxe might look like just another polished building off the Strip. But step inside, and it becomes immediately clear this is no ordinary pet hotel.
Each animal is grouped by size — small dogs with small, and large with large. Play sessions are monitored one-on-one to prevent conflict or overstimulation. If a pet needs a quiet day, that’s respected. If someone forgets to make arrangements or a last-minute emergency arises, Luxe goes above and beyond, offering at-home pick-up or even emergency retrieval from hotels.
“We’ve gone into homes when someone didn’t make it back in time,” Bogdan said. “We’ve picked up pets from hotels when guests had emergencies. We don’t advertise it; we just do it because it’s right.”
And then there’s the smell, or rather, the complete lack of it. Multiple new clients have marveled at the facility’s cleanliness, especially when compared to competitors.
“I had one client tell me, ‘My friend owns another pet hotel, but I can’t stand the smell there,’” Bogdan said with a laugh. “Here, we clean constantly. Cleanliness is non-negotiable.”
The Luxe Philosophy: It’s About the Pets, Not the Business
What truly sets Luxe apart is the ethos behind it. It’s not about creating a trendy space or riding the luxury wave. For Bogdan, it all comes back to compassion.
“I always tell people, don’t just take my word for it. Go look at other facilities. Then come here,” he said. “It’s not about sales. It’s about peace of mind.”
The team’s humility and openness to tours, no appointments necessary, speak volumes. Unlike many facilities, Luxe invites walk-ins during business hours. “We have nothing to hide,” Bogdan said plainly.
They’ve earned the trust of high-profile clients, including partnerships with luxury hotels like Cosmopolitan, Wynn, and Encore. Even Formula One has chosen Luxe as their pet care provider during Vegas events. But Bogdan is quick to deflect praise.
“What matters is that each animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for,” he said. “That’s all.”
A Quiet Force in the Community
Without spending a dime on advertising, Luxe Pet Hotels has grown through one of the most powerful marketing tools available: word of mouth. Happy customers tell other pet parents, and the reputation has only deepened over the years.
Bogdan doesn’t manage the social media himself; in fact, he doesn’t even use it. “I’ve never had Facebook or Instagram,” he admits with a chuckle. “I’m a very private person.”
Still, Luxe has carved out a visible presence in the pet community through its sheer dedication. Whether it’s a daily client or a first-time visitor, each interaction is personal.
Where Luxury Meets Loyalty
As for the future, Bogdan’s goals are simple. No flashy expansions, no race for rapid growth. Just continued excellence.
“Our short-term and long-term goals are the same: to keep providing good service and make sure every baby is in good hands,” he said.
Luxe Pet Hotels may not be the loudest name in Vegas, but it doesn’t need to be. The business has been built on integrity, compassion, and an unwavering standard of care. For pet owners who see their animals as family, there is no better place.
